What sets LDM Triple Gold apart from other ultrasound devices? The answer is frequency.
When we talk about ultrasound treatments, frequency refers to the number of sound wave cycles per second. We measure this in megahertz (MHz). Higher frequencies penetrate the skin at shallower depths, while lower frequencies reach deeper.
LDM Triple Gold includes two handpieces called sonotrodes. Each sonotrode combines three distinct ultrasound frequencies:
- 1 MHz, 3 MHz and 10MHz
- 3 MHz, 10 MHz and 19 MHz
Because there are so many frequency options to choose from, LDM Triple Gold can penetrate a broader range of skin layers than conventional ultrasound treatments. The frequencies can be used individually or simultaneously to address both aesthetic and dermatological needs.
LDM Triple Gold is an upgraded version of Wellcomet’s LDM-MED technology, which did not have the option of a 19 MHz frequency. Adding this frequency allows LDM Triple to address superficial skin concerns that were untreatable with the older device.
